And knowing that we have helped make a difference is incredibly fulfilling and inspiring for all of us.Construction Management is responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site construction activities through installation on a project or multiple projects. Monitors safety, quality, and schedule in the field, while providing technical expertise and ensuring work in place meets quality requirements of contract documents, applicable codes, and Disney standards. Coordinates with all WDI Studios, Operations and Security, contractors, vendors, and governmental agencies. This studio is responsible for everything that happens on construction projects, including all impacts on operations.This is a Full-Time role.You will report to the Principal Construction Manager.What You Will Do

Manages large and complex construction projects ranging with budgets from $10 million to $100 million

Performs analysis to ensure construction feasibility and cost efficiency

Leads all aspects of pre-construction services and provides input

Monitors schedules, quality control, and project statuses

Reviews and approves payment applications

Handles Change Orders under the Project Manager's direction

Ensures effective communication and coordinates facility construction plans with collaborators

Handles insurance in collaboration with Loss Prevention

Supervises project completion progress

Coordinates safety testing and temporary occupancy permits

Acts as the primary point of contact for project meetings

Communicate changes to the Project Manager

Participates in hiring internal and external resources

Runs staff performance through mentorship and guidance

Leads project team, including consultants and contractors

Makes day-to-day construction decisions and elevates issues needing senior leadership input

Directly communicates with vendors and contractors daily

Works with senior executives and governmental/utility agencies

Required Qualifications & Skills

7+ years of outside job-related experience or 5-7 years of WDI Construction Management experience

Experience with scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and quality control

Experience preparing professional bid packages

Experience hiring outside vendors

Ability to understand the needs of the client and to manage relationships between the owner/operator

Ability to comfortably connect with project team, vendors, consultants, and internal partners

Understanding of the Project Development process

Organization skills and task management

Expanded computer proficiency with Microsoft Office

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and using platforms such as Bluebeam and BIM 360 Field/Glue/Docs

Experience in Hospitality Construction is preferred

Education

College degree in a Walt Disney Imagineering Core subject area (such as Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture) or related profession or technical school

Preferred certifications in OSHA 30 and AED/CPR
