About Us:
Knotty Cypress is a lakeside bar and gathering spot opening in December 2025, located directly on Lake Pierce in Lake Wales, Florida. We’ll be part of a larger resort community with 40 short-term rental cabins, offering guests and locals a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere to unwind by the water. With a beautiful sunset view over the lake, Knotty Cypress will feature a cozy, outdoor-focused setting serving beer and wine only, with plans for live music, weekend events, and food from on-site vendors.
Position Overview:
This position combines bartending with leadership and operational duties. You’ll be responsible for opening and closing the bar, managing staff, keeping inventory stocked, and ensuring guests have a great experience. Perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the bar but also wants more responsibility and ownership.
Responsibilities:
Serve draft and packaged beer and wine with friendly, attentive service.
Open and close the business, including setup, cash handling, and end-of-day reports.
Supervise staff during shifts, ensuring smooth service and positive guest interactions.
Order and restock beer, wine, and bar supplies as needed.
Keep the bar area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Assist with scheduling, events, and vendor coordination as needed.
Represent the Knotty Cypress brand with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of bartending or hospitality experience.
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
Reliable, self-motivated, and trustworthy with cash handling.
Must be 21+ and available weekends and evenings.
Enjoys working outdoors and in a lively, social setting.
