Our Client, a leading national provider of financial services, is currently seeking candidates for a contract
Network Administrator position. This individual will be responsible for supporting a large network and security infrastructure environment. This includes monitoring, patching, upgrading and maintenance of network switches, routers, firewalls, and appliances within the corporate network. This Contract role will be for a minimum of 6 months, with strong potential to become full-time based on performance and continued workload. The position is normal day shift hours, M-F. And while it will be primarily a remote-work arrangement, this individual should be willing to perform hands-on network support at any time, reporting to their facility located in Lake Mary, FL, just Northeast of Orlando.Responsibilities- Manage switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, remote access gateways, url filters, system monitoring tools, as well as other network appliances
- Administers firewall rules to allow desired access for functionality of applications across firewalls
- Employ best practices to ensure that all systems meet all applicable regulatory compliance and internal security guidelines.
- Develop and maintain installation, configuration and operational procedures related to the network infrastructure platforms.
- Responsible for providing and developing performance and capacity analysis reports.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, systems and key processes, and reviewing system and application logs.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with routing and switching, firewalls, IP/VPN networking, VoIP
- Working knowledge of Cisco or Extreme Networks products
- Working knowledge of Palo Alto or a similar firewall product
- Knowledge of security issues, firewall policies, and solution development
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with end users to meet appropriate management deadlines
- Associate’s degree in a related IT discipline preferred, but not required
- Must be located within commutable distance of the Lake Mary, FL office and be open to providing onsite network support when needed
