Job DescriptionInsight Global is looking to hire an Ultrasound Tech in the Miami, FL area. As the Ultrasound Technologist, youll operate specialized imaging equipment to create high-quality images of various parts of the body. Responsibilities include ensuring proper equipment settings, capturing images according to physician specifications, and reviewing images for clarity.Additional responsibilities include: Utilizing sonography equipment to identify areas of concern, adhering to established standard positions for procedures to enhance scanning accuracy. Prepare the exam room before and after procedures, ensuring patient safety, sterilization protocols, and comfort. Document patient data in logs and maintain complete, relevant information in RIS, PACS, and other reporting systems. Recognize and document medical necessity, including signs, symptoms, and relevant history, aiding in exam performance. Regularly maintain sonography equipment and review supplies and probe sterilization. Handle administrative tasks such as form completion, area labeling, and log maintenance. Adhere to infection control policies and collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure quality and minimize repeat procedures. Verify patient identity and confirm orders based on physician prescriptions. Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Provide thorough imaging and written documentation for high-quality patient care, including comparisons with prior relevant studies. Record all scanned images, noting variations from normal size and accompanying measurements. Follow company policies and imaging protocols set by AIUM/ACR accreditation bodies in conjunction with the medical director.
