The (HHA) or (CNA) provides direct personal care and supportive services to clients in their homes under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in accordance with the client’s care plan. The HHA / CNA helps clients maintain safety, independence, and quality of life while promoting dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
· Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
· Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe environment.
· Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervising nurse or case manager.
· Follow the client’s individualized care plan and registry policies.
· Assist with self-administered medications as permitted by Florida regulations.
· Support clients with transfers, ambulation, and safe use of assistive devices.
· Document care provided and maintain accurate daily activity logs or timesheets.
· Comply with all infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards.
· Provide respite care for families when needed.
Qualifications
· Current Florida Home Health Aide certification or 75-hour HHA/CNA training with proof of completion.
· Current CPR certification.
· Level II background screening clearance.
· One year of caregiving experience preferred (registry or home health setting a plus).
