Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our customers and employees. This role involves patrolling and monitoring the premises, as well as conducting facility patrols on foot and via golf cart. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
Responsibilities:
Patrol and monitor property, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
Operate surveillance equipment and permit entry to authorized individuals.
Sound alarms and obtain help in emergencies.
Report irregularities and inform violators of policies and procedures.
Restrain trespassers and prevent losses and damage.
Direct traffic and ensure smooth vehicle flow.
Complete detailed reports on observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Interview witnesses and obtain necessary signatures.
Monitor and set building and equipment controls.
Maintain organizational stability by complying with legal requirements.
Ensure proper operation of equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed.
Qualifications:
Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
Surveillance skills, judgment, and objectivity.
Dependability and emotional control.
Integrity and professionalism.
Excellent reporting skills and safety management.
Requirements:
Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Must pass a Drug Test.
Must have a License to Carry a Concealed Weapon.
Must pass a Psychological Evaluation.
Valid Driver's License.
Ability to work alone.
Possession of "D" and "G" Security licenses.
Reliable transportation.
Proficient phone/public communication skills.
Extensive walking, standing, and sitting.
Radio dispatch experience.
Clean criminal background.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of armed security experience (Required).
Minimum 1 year of general security experience (Preferred).
