Customer Quality Engineer - Manufacturing (Salary range: $110,000/yr - $117,000/yr): Support quality product, production specifications, and manufacturing capabilities for engineering technology related to LiDAR sensors. Oversee customer scorecards and interaction with customers on a regular basis. Lead Customer Complaints, escalation, and ensure customer deliverables are met on time. Support quality technical problem solving, containments, final quality checks to drive customer issue resolution. Create Dashboards, conduct data analysis of manufacturing data and test results, and conduct automation using Microsoft 365 tools. Lead Quality Management System (QMS) training, deployment, and maintenance (ISO/IATF 16949) teams. Support internal audit programs and surveil Layered Process Audit (LPA) structure and content. Lead customer 8Ds and Critical Issues, Fault tree analysis, containments, real root cause determination (0km and Warranty), Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs), and customer deviations. Confer as necessary with stakeholders regarding industrial production processes. Audit the quality of manufacturing processes and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, material flow, and production coordination. Perform quality testing for sensors during the builds development processes and participate in customer workshops. Support product trials and perform testing of sensors during builds. Establish the testing process with feedback from engineering teams and design control systems to coordinate production planning to ensure that products meet quality standards. Ensure high-quality new product releases. Support critical manufacturing process improvement and problem-solving efforts.

Travel 25% (Mexico, Thailand, China).

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field. 2 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, Quality Engineer, or a related occupation.

SKILLS: Must have:

1. Experience working directly with customers at an automotive OEM on rapid complaint management and tracking.

2. Experience with AIAG Core Tools including standard protocols and methods common to automotive manufacturing, including APQP and Control Plans to reduce complexity of product quality planning.

3. Experience applying Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Automotive Task Force (IATF) standards (including ISO/IATF 16949), and Automotive Industry (VDA) requirements.

4. Experience with problem solving techniques (8D and A3) for resolving issues relating to process inefficiencies, customer complaints, and warranty returns.

5. Experience using Minitab, including Basic Statistics, Hypothesis Testing, Regression, ANOVA, Measurement Systems Analysis, DOE, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

6. Experience with Data analytics tools for automation and visualization including PowerBI and Excel Macros.
