Land Surveying Party Chief – Orange & Osceola & Brevard & Indian River Counties

Location: Orange & Osceola & Brevard & Indian River Counties, Florida

Job Type: Per-Job / Contract Basis

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Land Surveying Party Chief to support projects on a per-job basis in Orange & Osceola & Brevard and Indian River Counties. This position is ideal for an independent contractor surveyor who owns their own field equipment and is looking for ongoing project-based work.

Work volume will vary based on demand in the area, with opportunities for continued collaboration as new projects arise.

Requirements:

Must have your own survey equipment i.e Total station & GPS

Must have a reliable means of transportation to and from job sites.

Minimum 2 years of field experience as a Party Chief.

Strong understanding of boundary, topographic, and construction surveying methods.

Ability to interpret survey plans, legal descriptions, and construction drawings.

Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Commitment to professionalism and safety on all projects.

Responsibilities:

Perform field surveys including boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys.

Collect precise field data using GNSS and total station equipment.

Manage field notes, sketches, and digital data files for office processing.

Coordinate with project managers and CAD staff to ensure timely delivery.

Maintain accuracy, reliability, and care of all equipment used in the field.

Compensation:

Per-job pay based on project scope, experience, and equipment ownership.

Work assignments and frequency depend on local project demand in Orange & Osceola & Brevard & Indian River Counties

Potential for ongoing collaboration and expanded work areas based on performance.
