SummaryThis position follows established software engineering processes and works from established requirements to test and/or develop software components, subsystems, and system enhancements under the supervision of senior team members. The right candidate will provide input to detailed design and development work, perform system administration and other related software engineering activities as well as individually test the developed products to prove functionality.Essential Functions

Windows and Linux development
Understanding of software development lifecycle (i.e., requirements, design, code and test)
Object Oriented programming experience (e.g., Java, C, C#)

Experience with Development tools (e.g., Git/Github, SVN, Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket)
Database concepts (e.g., SQL)
Modern web development skills (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, ReactJS, Angular, REST, websockets)
Knowledge of data representation formats (e.g., XML, JSON, Protobuf)
Virtualization knowledge/experience (e.g., VMs, Docker, Hyper-V)
Experience developing U.S. military modeling, simulation, and training systems
Ability to lead technical teams and mentor engineers
