Description We are seeking a Benefits Administrator to join our team in the Construction/Contractor industry, based in Orlando, Florida. As a Benefits Administrator, you'll play a key role in coordinating new employee setups, maintaining current employment records, and supporting the HR manager with compliance issues. Responsibilities: Manage the setup process for new hires, including arranging office space and necessary supplies Handle I-9 and E-Verify documents to ensure the completion of employee onboarding Maintain current employment and training records for filing and retention purposes Perform data entry in HRIS system for new hires, compensation changes, and manager updates Serve as backup for entering terminations into HRIS Coordinate required training, screenings, and certification completions for all new hires Assist with compliance issues with Federal, State, & local requirements Conduct regular audits of employee files and data Maintain and update organizational charts for all divisions Manage volunteer opportunities, contacting organizations to schedule volunteer hours among team members Serve as the main administrative contact for the office, maintaining a detail-oriented image while answering phones, greeting guests, and handling visitors Assist with administrative/clerical duties for all departments, such as shipping, scanning, photocopying, filing, and creating business correspondence Receive, sort, and forward incoming mail, and coordinate the pick-up and delivery of express mail services.Message Kathy Downs on LinkedIn for more informationRequirements Candidate must possess at least one year of experience in a Benefits Administrator role or similar A background in the Construction/Contractor industry is preferred Must have proficiency in Corporate HR practices Knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration is required The ability to interpret and apply benefits policies and procedures is necessary Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential Proficiency in using HR software and digital tools is expected Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required The ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary Candidate must have a problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions Knowledge of benefits-related legal requirements and compliance standards is a bonus.
