Description Responsibilities:
Oversee a portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Manage the daily accounting functions for assigned properties, utilizing Yardi Voyager or a similar property management system.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations, including complex Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, prepare variance reports, and uncover cost-saving opportunities.
Mentor entry level property accountants, providing guidance and support on accounting procedures, best practices, and Yardi usage.
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting best practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial property accounting.
Proven proficiency in Yardi or a similar property management system.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues at all levels and mentor entry level staff.
Experience mentoring entry level staff is a plus.
