THE POSITION,
We are hiring a dependable Janitor / Building Cleaner (Part-Time or Full-Time) for a well-maintained five-floor condominium in Orlando, FL. Shifts are flexible and available days, evenings, or weekends. This is a hands-on cleaning and light maintenance role focused on keeping the property’s common areas spotless, safe, and welcoming for residents and guests.
Responsibilities
Daily cleaning of lobbies, carpeted hallways, elevators, public restrooms, and other common areas (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, restroom sanitation)
Emptying trash and recycling bins throughout the property and taking trash to the compactor/dumpster
Pressure washing sidewalks, entryways, and garage areas as scheduled
Performing light maintenance tasks (replacing light bulbs, minor touch-up painting, tightening hardware, basic plumbing fixes such as plunging or replacing flappers, etc.)
Reporting any larger repair needs to the property manager
Following all safety guidelines and using proper personal protective equipment
Occasional on-call availability for urgent cleaning or minor issues (extra pay provided when called in)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS,
This is an active position that requires,
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs (trash bags, equipment, supplies)
Pushing/pulling trash carts and operating cleaning equipment (vacuums, auto-scrubbers, pressure washers)
Working in varying weather conditions when pressure washing or handling outdoor trash
Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals (training and PPE provided)
BACKGROUND & REQUIREMENTS,
Prior janitorial, custodial, or building cleaning experience strongly preferred
Basic knowledge of safe cleaning practices and light maintenance tasks
Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in keeping spaces clean
Good communication skills and a professional, friendly attitude when interacting with residents
Ability to use a smartphone for timeclock, checklists, and reporting issues
Must have reliable transportation to/from the property
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
