Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As an Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical skills and a deep understanding of automotive systems. Most of the work will be performed on semi-trucks and trailer.
Salary will vary on results of interview, skills and performance and will be evaluated after 30 days.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in vehicles
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot vehicle systems
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed
- Repair and maintain hydraulic systems
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to guide repairs
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary
- Inspect suspension, steering, and brake systems for wear and damage
- Service HVAC systems in vehicles
- Must have own tools
Skills:
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing automotive issues
- Ability to weld and fabricate parts
- Knowledge of hydraulics systems
- Familiarity with interpreting schematics and technical manuals
- Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus
- HVAC servicing skills
- Tire mount and balancing
- Be familiar or willing to learn alignment procedure
- Randomly perform roadside assistance
- CDL license is a plus
