What’s the job?The Project Engineer defines the scope, plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates technical activities on assigned projects and engineering work. This individual is a liaison between the engineering (Mechanical/Automation) and manufacturing departments/personnel. The Project Engineer will influence effective communication and ensure coordination on assigned projects between all involved departments/participants, especially regarding change of processes and procedures. In order to be effective, this person must be vigilant in monitoring for compliance and ensuring projects follow accepted engineering practices and standards. The Project Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager.-Responsibilities:

Plan, conduct, and coordinate technical and management aspects of projects.

Responsible for scope development, appropriation requests, cost estimation, hazard analysis, resource planning, supervision during commissioning (including off-hours as needed), tracking the performance of new assets, closing reports.

Create, maintain, and communicate project schedules to meet company goals.

Supervise contractors, maintenance personnel as needed during execution of projects

Organize and plan work tasks to ensure successful completion of engineering projects.

Develop and implement sustainable solutions for quality improvements, cost reductions, and process improvements.

Regulate a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and safety protocols.

Commission project and documentation of SOPs and JSAs for all tasks.

Track and deliver project savings.

Coordinate improvements in developing and continually improving project development processes in a Lean work environment.

What do you bring?

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.

Excellent planning, organization, leadership, presentation, decision making, analytical, oral and written communication skills are required.-

4 to 5 years of manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.-

Strong knowledge of the gypsum processing industry is a plus.- Required knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word using MS Windows platform, MS PowerPoint, and AutoCAD. SAP ERP experience is a plus.-

Project Management Certification is a plus.

Must be able to work flexible hours to support 24-7 operations

10% Travel.
