Overview We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our legal team. In the Counsel role, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial construction and services contracts related to our telecommunications infrastructure projects. You will provide legal guidance to ensure we have robust contracts that protect our interests while facilitating successful project delivery. This is a pivotal position that partners closely with our construction operations to enable continued business growth. What you'll do

Draft, review and negotiate master service agreements, construction contracts, statements of work, RFPs, subcontracts, supplier and vendor agreements and other commercial contracts

Perform detailed legal review and risk analysis of contractual terms, conditions and obligations

Advise business teams on contract interpretation, legal risks, regulatory compliance and best practices

Lead negotiations with customer legal teams as well as subcontractors and vendors to secure favorable contractual terms

Develop and implement contract templates, playbooks and guidelines to streamline processes

Monitor contractual compliance by coordinating with project teams throughout execution

Keep current with evolving laws, regulations and industry standards related to construction contracting

Provide legal support for contract disputes, claims and litigation as needed

Foster strong partnerships with leaders across Construction, Operations, Procurement and other functions

What we are looking for

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, with significant exposure to commercial construction contracting

Comprehensive understanding of construction laws, regulations and telecommunications industry practices

Demonstrated expertise in drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial and construction agreements

Strong contract analysis skills with keen attention to detail and ability to assess legal/financial risks

Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities to explain legal concepts clearly

Self-motivated with excellent judgment and problem-solving skills

Experience at a law firm or in-house legal department for a construction/engineering/telecommunications company preferred

Admitted to practice law in the state the position is located

Ability to travel periodically to project sites or company or client meetings as needed
