Construction Accountant

PURPOSEThe Construction Accountant is responsible for accounting and reporting activities related to residential and commercial renovation and development projects. This role works across multiple departments and is the liaison between construction, asset management and accounting. The position includes job costing, AIA billing, construction draw preparation and reconciliation, budget tracking, subcontractor payment processing, and preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports and work papers in accordance with GAAP and IFRS. The position reports to the Senior Vice President with additional oversight and reporting responsibilities to the Divisional Controller.This is a hands-on individual contributor role responsible for ensuring all construction-related activity is accurately recorded, reconciled, reported, and analyzed to enhance performance.
