We are currently looking for qualified personnel to perform Armed and Un-Armed Security Officer positions in the Sarasota/Manatee county area. We have a proven track record of integrity, honor, and customer service exceeding our competitors.
We hold our officers to higher standards and expect the Duties and Responsibilities of an entry-level position.
- Thoroughly monitor and patrol the areas of the assigned property to deter crime and enforce property policies.
- Conduct foot patrols through courtyards, management offices, pools, corridors, and parking areas or where assigned and needed.
- Complete and document lighting, trash, and security assessments at least once each shift.
- Full and detailed electronic reports of all activities and observations during a dedicated shift emphasizing names, times, and unusual occurrences.
- Notify property management, law enforcement, and security management staff when necessary to adequately and safely perform duties.
- Be on the lookout for suspicious activity and persons, document your encounters, and notify proper authorities to enforce no-loitering policies and trespass orders and protect property and individuals.
- Conduct parking enforcement checks, documenting illegally parked, non-registered, abandoned, and vandalized vehicles.
- Conduct locks and unlocks according to property policies.
- Provide direction and assistance to tenants and authorized visitors regarding security-related functions and reasonable customer service requests.
- Conduct all services in a manner that promotes service, integrity, respect, and fairness.
- The employee must follow standards for universal precautions to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
PREVIOUS JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Prior security or law enforcement/criminal justice experience is preferred but not required unless assigned to Roving Patrol.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions will vary but may include routine discomforts such as heat, moisture/wetness, loud noise, and standing for long periods. Work is performed in different environments, including security enforcement functions on foot and in a vehicle, with potential exposure to hazardous situations, hostile individuals, and physical trauma.
Position may require occasional physical exertion such as lifting heavy objects (more than 30 pounds), bending, climbing steps, constant walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
BASIC EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
21 years of age or older
U.S. citizen of good character
High school diploma or GED
Pass background investigation
Pass drug screen
Good driving record
Florida Class D Security License
Florida Class G Security License
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form for professional public interaction and report writing.
Excellent typing skills, as all reporting is online.
Ability to work, collaborate and communicate with other employees as a team; follow directions, and work under stress.
Must display strong moral character, adding value to our team.
As a condition of employment, the employee must maintain a current and active status of all required Licenses (s) and carry the license while on duty.
