Motorhome Manufacturing Technician/Mechanic (Sign-On Bonus)

We are a high-end RV Manufacturer in Nokomis, FL looking to add another manufacturing technician to our team. We have been in business for 40 years, all of which we have been family owned and operated. We build both Class-C and Class-B motorhomes on a variety of Ford and Mercedes cutaway chassis. Everything from fiberglass body fabrication, frame extensions, flooring, cabinet building, upholstery, and even our exterior coach painting is done here on premises.

We are specifically looking to add someone to our Chassis Department. The Chassis Department is the first stage of our motorhome manufacturing process. Some of the departmental duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Mocking up and prepping frame extensions for our welder

2. Routing all under floor wiring

3. Routing all under floor plumbing

4. Mounting and rigging all hydraulic components including the pump, leveling jacks, and slide room rams

5. Mounting holding tanks

6. Installing various heat shields

7. Generator installation

8. Floor frame installation

Applicant will be working in a small group setting accomplishing the above tasks. Applicant must have mechanical background and have knowledge of basic mechanic hand tools. We will train on our specific product and processes, but a basic understanding of the above is preferred. Basic RV knowledge or service experience would be very beneficial. Experience working as a mechanic would be very beneficial as well. Applicant must be motivated and driven to succeed/grow with the company.

All tools and personal protective equipment will be provided. Applicant must be regularly familiar with tools such as a drill, screw gun, wrenches, sockets, impact gun, air hammer, air grinder. Applicant must be able to read a tape measure quickly and accurately, and to accurately read blueprints/engineering drawings.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am till 3:30pm with a 1/2-hour lunch from 11:30 till 12:00pm. Pay will be hourly and depend on applicant's prior experience. Benefits package includes Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Optical Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Major Holidays, and Paid Time Off.
