Experience & Requirements

Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university.

Professional experience in case management duties is preferred.

Required to exert up to 50 pounds of force and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or lift, carry,push, pull, or otherwise move objects including the human body.

Required to kneel, stoop, crouch and/or crawl occasionally.

Must have and maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical,mental and emotional) situations encountered on the job without compromising your health and well-being or that of your fellow employees or that of inmates.

Long periods sitting, typing and reading from a computer screen may be required.

EOE including Disability/Protected Veterans.ResponsibilitiesBelow is a list of your responsibilities as a Behavioral Health Case Manager with YesCare at Leon County Jail located in Tallassaee, FL:

Provide case management services in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Department of Corrections andYesCareand in accordance with the standards of the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.

Report to Mental Health Site Leadership at the institution and/or to the Regional Mental Health Administrator.

Interrelate and work effectively with Corrections staff, offenders, peers and outside support agencies as delegated by Mental Health Site Leadership and/or Regional Mental Health Administrator.

Abide by security regulations and maintain confidentiality of offender information in accordance with State law, the Department of Corrections policy and YesCare policy.

Complete specific duties and responsibilities as designated by Mental Health Site Leadership and/or Regional Mental Health Administrator and determined by current needs of the offender population of that particular type of institution.

Work closely with the Corrections staff, Mental Health Site Leadership and/or Regional Mental Health Administrator to ensure offenders are appropriately reviewed for placement into specialized mental health units and that transfers into and outside of such units occur effectively.

Participate in staff meetings and in-service training programs as required by YesCare and the Department of Corrections.

Participate in specialized clinical services and/or program development activities in a professional, timely manner providing these duties have been assumed with the agreement of Mental Health Site Leadership and/or Regional Mental Health Administrator.

Maintain accountability for services provided through timely and accurate recording of activities in a manner approved by the Department of Corrections and YesCare.

Comply with employee standards of YesCare and the Department of Corrections.

Other duties as assigned by Mental Health Site Leadership and/or Regional Mental Health Administrator.
