Division of Technology and Innovation Distributed Computer Systems Consultant Location: Tallahassee, FL Pay: $48,140.46 “Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a level 2 background screening pursuant to Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.” DESCRIPTION This is independent and complex administrative and consultative work providing operational and management coordination for the Division. The incumbent is familiar with processes, systems and process management, performance measures, process alignment, self-assessments, continuous improvement, evaluation, and organizational development. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares work requests and projects related but not limited to: This position serves as the manager for the Access Management and Infrastructure team within Education Data Center. Manage and maintain services and functions within the multiple admin centers of Microsoft 365 and Azure AD. Education Data Center has a diverse set of technology platforms requiring support. An advanced level of skill is required for this position in one or more of the technologies and/or platforms. This position requires one to be knowledgeable in Cloud based technology such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services platforms, Identity and Access Management and other cloud technologies. Perform System Administration type activities in a Microsoft environment, preferably Server 2012, 2016, 2019, IIS 7.0/7.5, SSL requests and implementations, Domain Name requests and implementations within DNS. Configure and administer Agency hosted Application Servers and technical support of complex vendor application software such as Teacher Certification systems, Office of Student Financial Aid, SAS BI and SAS MDM applications. Perform configuration of SSRS reports, Single Sign-On and TIBCO administration tasks, utilize ETL tools, and manage SSL certificates/domains. Utilize Microsoft SQL Server and Visual Studio or higher in troubleshooting and providing application support. Follows Education Data Center standards for programming, validation, security and change management. Assures that confidential data are handled, stored, and disposed of as required by Federal and State law and data exchange agreements by administering data security procedures that meet or exceed those requirements. Ensures data management efforts conform to DOE standards and align with DOE agency priorities. Produce up to par infrastructure technical documentation in a timely manner. Provide consultation to senior leaders, management, and staff for developing strategies for improving customer satisfaction and decreasing customer complaints. · Assist with reviewing administrative policies, procedures, guidelines that support the management reporting system. The employee must be productive under tight timeframes, balance multiple and competing priorities and maintain goal-directed behavior and performance sometimes under stressful conditions. The employee must interact courteously with others. The employee’s performance and behavior must demonstrate consideration of the workload concerns of others and must not negatively affect productivity and morale of the unit.
