This position is responsible for collection and reporting of required performance data, reviewing subrecipient single audits, conducting subgrant monitoring, and processing programmatic closeouts of assigned subawards. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific duties include:

Coordinating and overseeing the subgrant onsite and desk programmatic, administrative, and financial monitoring process for all assigned subawards to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local policies, procedures, and program objectives established in approved grant applications;

Collecting and reviewing monthly or quarterly subgrant performance reports. Aggregating data to ensure compliance with federal reporting requirements and deadlines;

Reviewing Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports/Single Audits to ensure compliance with 2 C.F.R. §200 – Subpart F.;

Reviewing and processing programmatic closeout packages;

Reviewing, interpreting, and applying applicable statutes, code, rules, regulations, policies and procedures to recipients/subrecipients of grant programs. Ensuring Department compliance with state and federal policies and requirements;

Providing training and technical assistance to staff and subgrantees in the use of an automated grants management system;

Participating in conferences, workshops, and seminars relevant to grant programs; and

Contributing to and updating training materials and documentation as necessary, while also aiding in the training of new staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Knowledge of the criminal justice system including courts, corrections, law enforcement and support activities;

Knowledge of researching statutes, federal code and manuals relating to criminal justice grants;

Knowledge of basic management principles and practices;

Ability to use problem solving techniques;

Ability to evaluate program performance and recommend problem solutions;

Ability to organize data into logical formats for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials;

Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing;

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others;

Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices;

Ability to conduct fact-finding research; and

Ability to prioritize and work independently.
