TITLE: Maintenance Specialist - Asset ManagementPERFORMANCE COACH: Mgr Asset Management & PerformanceCOMPANY: Tampa Electric CompanyDEPARTMENT: Asset Management & PerformancePOSITION CONCEPTThe Maintenance Specialist - Asset Management is responsible for supporting Tampa Electric engineering, maintenance operation, and asset management functions related to all distribution components (transformers, switchgears, capacitor banks, reclosures, regulators, etc.). Configuration of equipment maintenance strategies into Asset Management systems. Develop and configure equipment maintenance strategies for system asset Management & reliability and establish and maintain Energy Delivery’s design and construction standards. Research and approve materials and products to insure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective construction and maintenance of Tampa Electric Company’s distribution system. Ensure adherence to existing construction specifications to meet or exceed the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and comply with the construction practices of TECO.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect, maintain, and analyze asset data supporting the engineering, maintenance, operations and asset management functions including mechanical performance monitoring and modeling, precision alignment, equipment lubrication and other industry best practices. (30%)
Develop, configure, implement, and maintain asset maintenance strategies (asset condition monitoring, capital improvements, operational limits, etc.) in ED Asset Management systems. (30%)
Analyze and maintain reporting on the performance of assets, including malfunctions or failure of equipment and make recommendations for mitigation. Work with equipment owners and subject matter experts to ensure the implementation and monitoring of electrical and mechanical assets and develop proactive recommendations for changes to equipment maintenance strategy (equipment maintenance, redesign, operational limits, additional monitoring). (10%)
Supervise adherence to the existing construction specifications and the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) through planning, performing, and recording monthly TECO distribution construction audits. Follow up on audit findings with Lead/Supervisors and Managers and verify any identified issues have been corrected. (10%)
Design new and upgrade existing manuals, catalogs, and records that are overseen by Standards while adhering to the NESC and OSHA requirements. This requires updating sections of the General Rules and Specifications manuals (Overhead and Underground), Approved Materials catalog, and Tampa Electric Materials Specifications (TEMS) publications. (10%)
Provide Contract Management, Field Construction, SPP LUG, and Feeder Hardening with technical solutions and guidance regarding Distribution construction work. Resolve construction-related issues with our contract partners by providing construction specification clarification and providing special specification solutions as needed. (10%)

Job is 50 percent in the office and 50 in the field. Possible hot, humid, or cold conditions.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ REQUIREMENTS:Walking, bending, and driving to gather data, perform audits, work with crews, etc. This requires walking on uneven surfaces and ability to climb stairs and occasionally ladders.
