Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll/HR Analyst in Tampa, Florida. This role involves functioning in a hybrid workplace, with a blend of remote and in-office work. As part of the Human Resources industry, the successful candidate will be expected to handle various tasks related to payroll processing, tax laws, and employee case management. Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications. Maintain precise records of customer credit. Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Monitor customer accounts and determine appropriate actions. Interpret and apply relevant payroll and time labor laws, policies, and practices to ensure compliance. Administer pay cycle processes, including verification and calculation. Handle administration of garnishment orders. Perform quality review of payroll specialist or senior specialist work. Answer incoming calls professionally and provide excellent customer service. Carry out audits of data interfaced from the HR system into the payroll system, including salary and tax status. Check, audit, and maintain payroll timekeeping records according to established standards. Complete payroll cycle audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy in the payroll process. Deal with payroll calculations for retroactive payroll adjustments, leaves, terminations, and other exception processing. Administer pay cycle batch data input to payroll system for miscellaneous payments and other changes, including deduction and tax withholding.Requirements Deep understanding and experience with SAP HR modules Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Excel Proven experience in HR policy development and compliance Previous experience in payroll and payment processing Strong knowledge of HR practices and law regulations Proficiency in HR administration, including terminations and recoveries Excellent customer service skills Experience in answering inbound calls in a professional manner Ability to perform audits, reviews, and reconciliations Knowledge of tax accounting and payroll functions Proficiency in 'About Time' software or similar time tracking tools Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to collaborate effectively with a team Familiarity with creating and using templates in HR processes Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide quality solutions Hands-on experience with HR data management and reporting.
