Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of marine animals. As part of our commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our guests, we operate a vibrant cafe offering a variety of food and beverage options.
The Food Service team, Proof of the Pudding, is seeking additional cooks to assist in the daily food service preparations for the café and catering events.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Setting up and sanitizing workstations.
Following prep lists created by Executive Chef
Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible.
Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.
Constructing consistent and quality food items, box lunches, hot food and cold food products.
Distributing plates to wait staff to be served, cleaning plates for dishwashing, and preparing takeaway packages for customers.
Supervising food and cooling room temperatures.
Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.
Read thoroughly and understand the daily menus and recipes
This position may be an interactive chef during catering service times if needed.
Assist with inventory management and unloading and organizing food orders as directed.
Following all local, federal, and Proof of the Pudding food safety standards.
Performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
1+ year of experience working in a kitchen as a line of prep cook is preferred,
Must have knowledge of food preparation/food service with a strong understanding of the execution of recipes
Position Salary & Benefits:
This is a part-time position with a starting pay range of $15/hour
Additional benefits include a meal each shift!
