Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to two married individuals in their home with Cerebral Palsy. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our family members, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various healthcare settings, including experience with power lifts, power wheelchairs, physical lifting, etc.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation, feeding, etc.
Monitor and record clients' health status, including vital signs and any changes in condition.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safe travel to appointments or outings.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing housekeeping tasks-(laundry, dishes, cleaning, etc)
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
Engage clients in social activities that promote mental stimulation and well-being.
Experience
Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related healthcare role is expected. Lifting is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while being part of a team-oriented environment are essential.
Level II background check required. Driver’s license required
