Job Summary
The Irrigation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties. This role ensures optimal system performance, water efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Install and maintain irrigation systems, including valves, timers, pumps, and piping.
Troubleshoot and repair leaks, broken heads, wiring issues, and controller malfunctions.
Perform system inspections and seasonal maintenance (start-ups, mid-season checks, and winterizations).
Adjust controllers for weather conditions and optimize water usage.
Accurately document work performed and materials used.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in good condition.
Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times.
Qualifications
1–3 years of irrigation installation or repair experience (preferred).
Knowledge of irrigation controllers, valves, and water management systems.
Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
[Optional: Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) or similar certification is a plus.]
