Job Summary:
As a Pipe Welder, you will be responsible for fitting and welding pipe components according to specifications. This role requires experience with various welding techniques and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Key Responsibilities:
Weld, assemble, and install piping systems according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding procedures.
Use tools such as grinders, torches, and measuring instruments.
Inspect completed welds for structural soundness and conformance.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Work collaboratively with foremen, General Contractors, and other trades.
Qualifications:
2+ years of pipe welding experience preferred.
Proficient in MIG and Stick welding techniques.
Ability to pass a welding test (ASME or AWS standards, if applicable).
Strong understanding of metallurgy, pipe materials, and welding codes.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
