Accounts Payable Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Accountant for a company located in Titusville, Florida, 32780, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable department, identifying and resolving issues, and mentoring the team for improved performance. You will also have the opportunity to handle some accounting functions and work with various ERP systems. Responsibilities: Oversee the operations of the accounts payable department, including the work of two A/P Clerks. Identify and rectify issues such as incorrect purchase orders, incorrect invoices, and rebates. Mentor and guide clerks to improve their performance and streamline processes. Handle some accounting duties, including managing journal entries. Work with multiple ERP systems, ideally having experience with Dynamics GP. Utilize accounting software systems for efficient and accurate data processing. Manage accounts payable functions, including check processing and discrepancy resolution. Handle expense reporting and ensure accurate and timely processing. Maintain a self-starting attitude and demonstrate the ability to work independently. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related financial roles. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential. Prior experience with ADP - Financial Services will be advantageous. Familiarity with Concur and other expense reporting tools is required. Knowledge and understanding of Data Processing are necessary. Experience with ERP Solutions is highly preferred. Ability to perform Accounting Functions with accuracy and efficiency. Must have hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Check Processing. Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies in financial records.
