Construction estimators should be familiar with:
Preparing estimates of the cost of materials, labor and equipment for a construction project
Understanding and reading plans in order to make estimates of the cost of the project
Establishing and maintaining the bidding process
Setting up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
Maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
Managing and coordinating construction projects and preparing construction progress schedules
With some experience and the drive to succeed, we are willing to train
