Distinctive Millwork Delivery Driver/Associate is responsible for driving and delivering material to vendors and jobsites, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process. They must be able to work in a team environment with the Warehouse Associates, Subcontractors, Account representatives, Shipping Coordinator, Project Managers, and Installation Managers by constant communication. Safety Management is critical.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Drive delivery truck to jobsites and vendors
Load and unload material
Check Pull Sheet against load for accuracy
Check off delivery for accuracy
Unload vendor trucks as necessary
Pick Trim for jobs
Process material returns as necessary
Check in material when delivered by vendors
Assist in Wrapping cabinets as needed
Stage material for upcoming jobs
Maintain Warehouse staging areas
Maintain a safe environment for employees and subcontractors
Maintain warehouse environment organizing supplies, sweeping, cleaning as needed.
Update Computer log (Smartsheet. Microsoft Outlook) for Schedules’ and Workorder Status.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to safely operate hand truck
Must be able to pass Company policy of background check, motor vehicle and 5-panel drug test.
Ability to read packing slips and bills of lading
Ability to interpret work orders, pull sheets, pick tickets
Ability to work with subcontractors, vendors, and other employees.
Must excel at working in a team environment. Ability to read, comprehend and carry out simple instructions.
Ability to write simple correspondence through letters or email.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Must excel at working in a team environment.
Physical Demands:
Lifting up to 25-74 pounds frequently.
Lifting up to 75-100 pounds occasionally.
