Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Truck Fleet Supervisor to oversee the daily operations and management of our fleet of Dump Trucks. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of all dump trucks, coordinating maintenance schedules, managing drivers, and optimizing routes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of fleet operations, and a commitment to safety and compliance. Some of the responsibilities of a fleet supervisor include:

Daily Duties

Vehicle Maintenance Coordination: Ensure regular maintenance and repair schedules for the fleet, including preventive measures to minimize downtime.

Driver Management: Supervise and assign drivers, ensuring they follow routes, schedules, and company policies, and addressing any issues that arise.

Fuel : Dispense fuel to the fleet on a daily basis, monitor consumption, vehicle mileage, and expenses to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Other Responsibilities:

Fleet Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce safety regulations.

Hiring process: Assist in vetting new applicants drivers and conduct proper onboarding and initial training.

Fleet Performance Monitoring: Track vehicle performance, including breakdowns, repairs, and usage data, to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Continuing education: Ensuring Driver receive proper training and conduct periodic coaching sessions to uphold safe driving standards as well as adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

-Bilingual in Spanish/English (mandatory)

-Possession of a CDL (mandatory)

- Excavator and heavy equipment operation experience preferred

- Mechanical knowledge and commercial driving skills, as well as with dump trucks.

- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills, as well as Attention to detail to ensure records are kept as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 55 – 65 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
