DescriptionAccountemps is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available to start immediately. This Accounting Clerk position offers an opportunity to become an essential part of International Construction Company. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Alpharetta, Georgia area and will be a short-term temporary position. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.Your responsibilities in this role
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Complete full-cycle A/P
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Requirements
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Detailed and have the ability work independently
