Position Summary: As ourStaffAccountantyou will be responsible forassisting with accounts receivable, asset management, billing and new project costings and monitoring the profitability of existing projects. The successful candidate will be a member of our in-house finance team, but you should also be comfortable working on tasks independently. Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing monthly management accounting with emphasis on sales, client/project profitability and management of deferred revenue

Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from project management team, management and from customers

Assist in job setups, budgeting and invoicing

Assist in reporting on multiple projects including performance tracking, forecasting revenue, gross margin analysis and summaries of all other key and salient points

Review of all job cost postings prior to payment

Assist team in monitoring and driving job invoicing and change order billing

Issue invoices and bills and send them to customers through various channels

Send reminders for payments and contact customers when assigned

Regular revision of project revenue and cost forecasts for budgets

Assist in costing and providing backup to the Commercial Team on the costing of large contracts

Assist in asset management tracking

Produce analysis of accounts and monthly reports

Assist with month-end closing

Provide supporting documents for audits

Cross training with other members of the finance team

Identifies areas for process improvement

Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Degree preferred, although former accounting/bookkeeping experience may meet criteria

Experience in cost management accounting, construction experience preferred.

Proficient data entry and computer skills (Microsoft Office, specifically Excel)

Able to communicate effectively with internal and external senior stakeholders

Adept at reporting using multiple platforms, identifying trends and key actions for change

Well-organized with clear ability to prioritize work

Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work

Ability to work independently and utilize problem-solving skills

Ability to meet deadlines
