SALARY: $19.00 Per/Hour

Open Availability Needed: Monday to Saturday: 2pm to 10pm range &/or 9pm to 2am range

JOB DESCRIPTION: LINE COOK

The Line Cook is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of dining experience for STIR HOUSE customers. The Line Cook will need to work efficiently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent communication skills, and an enhanced focus on details.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.

Completes basic food prepping tasks for the restaurant.

Prepares food items by properly cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.

Cooks’ food items by baking, frying, sautéing, wok'ing, and other cooking methods to STIR HOUSE specified recipes and standards.

Complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage and all other applicable sanitary, health and personal hygiene standard.

Cleans and sanitizes kitchen, cooking surfaces and equipment at the end of the shift.

Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.

Qualifications/Skills:

Line Cook Experience, Previous experience cooking in a restaurant, Knowledge of various cooking techniques and food preparation methods, WOK cooking experience or High flame cooking experience. Positive Attitude, Excellent communication skills, Accuracy and speed in executing tasks, Ability to work as a team member, Follows directions and instructions, Demonstrated knowledge of skill and ability to safely operate food service equipment, Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing or lifting mediums to heavy items, Reliability, and punctuality.
