- Partners with engineering, QA, operations, product, and strategy teams to build and deliver secure products.
- Participate in all phases of product engineering, from requirements gathering, to design, to implementation and reviews, followed by verification testing and regression testing.
- Provide security design, implementation and testing guidance to product teams.
- Works with product and engineering teams to review, manage, and track security vulnerabilities, remediation efforts, and ongoing vulnerability testing.
- Lead cost-risk tradeoff discussions with the product teams, helping to decide how important and at what increased cost each security requirement/functionality can be justifiably added in the product.
- Identifies, proposes, and influences product selection and delivery, negotiates security deliverables and requirements with product teams and vendors.
- Identifies security trends and changes, and relates those changes to current and future needs of the product team.
- Ensures that the design and integration of products with Technology and business partners leads to the development and growth of the business through effective use of security.
- 4+ years of experience working in security architecture, operations, design, or development across multiple domains of security.
- Hands-on penetration testing experience including, but not limited to, IoT protocols such as ZigBee and Z-Wave.
- In-depth knowledge of encryption concepts and implementation methods.
- In-depth knowledge of remote access technologies and implementation best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of wireless protocols and associated risks and implementation best practices.
- BS/BA in a related discipline required (i.e., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, etc.); and/or 4 years of experience in related field.
- Big four consulting background or Fortune 500 company experience.
- Telecom/Cable industry experiences a plus.
- At least one relevant industry certification - CISSP, CISM, CISA.
