First Shift - Direct Hire

Griffin, GA

$28-$32/hour

Experience and Resume is a must have

salary: $58,240 - $66,560 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 6 AM - 3 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities

Disassemble and assemble bearing housings and internal roll components

Utilize air tools, hand tools, and hydraulic bearing/gear pullers for tasks

Conduct visual inspections of roll components to ensure quality

Document repair requirements according to company manuals and instructions

Safely handle rolls and components using overhead cranes and forklifts (capacities up to 60 tons)

Basic hydraulics and pneumatics

Fabrication and cutting with a torch

Basic layout and blueprint reading

Precision measurement

Preferred knowledge in bearings, chains, sprockets, and troubleshooting techniques

Perform basic computer and data entry tasks

Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations including wearing all PPE

Follow all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures

Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to improve reliability and performance

Mechanical maintenance and inspections

Read and interpret blueprints for maintenance and repairs

Inspect and maintain electrical systems, including PLC and CNC equipment

Address breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance

Work with HMI, VFD, and motor controls

Handle 3-phase power, high voltage, and low voltage systems

Maintain and repair steam lines and pneumatic systems.

Perform fabrication and welding tasks

Operate and maintain cranes

Maintain gearboxes and other mechanical components

The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 60lbs
