DescriptionAccounts Receivable Clerk who are self-starting and detail-oriented will be excited about this opportunity! This is a long-term temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Kennesaw, Georgia area. A strong candidate for this Accounts Receivable Clerk position will be able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
Process payments and compile segments of annual reports and monthly closings in compliance with GAAP
Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization
Test documents and codes
Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers
Requirements
Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Solid understanding of Collection Processes
Sales experience
Deep understanding of Multi Task
Experience with marketing
Income Tax Return experience
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
Experience with ERP systems
