Manufacturing Supervisor - 2nd shift

What would you do? – The SpecificsSupervises the production in the various departments.Tracks hourly production numbers at each work station.Communicates with maintenance department to ensure all equipment is running properly.Using late lists, tracks down old trays and expedites them through the lab.Reduces breakage by reviewing broken items and implementing plans to ensure issues do not reoccur.Reviews final inspection rejects.Identifies fixable trends regarding product failing final inspection; recommends and implements solutions.Sends “reworks” to appropriate person and uses them as a training tool to ensure they don’t reoccur.Works with other department supervisors to resolve interdepartmental issues.Submits daily reports on department progress.Schedules all work and vacation time for Bench associates.Maintains performance records for Bench associates.Reviews associate performance through HR’s performance management system.Assists Production Manager with interviewing and selecting associates for manufacturing departments.Oversees training by department Leads.Cross trains associates to effectively perform at multiple stations within the department.Updates and implements department Policies and Procedures; enforces all Company Policies and Procedures.
