Work Location: Head Office, Sand Island

We have a full time and part time opening for a highly energetic, full of Hoʻokipa personality to join our Ohana as an Accounts Payable Clerk in the accounting department to perform a variety of tasks.

Basic Function:

An Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible to perform a wide range of administrative functions and entry level bookkeeping assistance.

Review and verify invoices and check requests, enter, and upload into system and set up for payment.

Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, check runs

Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records

Reconcile accounts payable transactions, prepare analysis of accounts, and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date

Maintain vendor files, correspond with vendors, and respond to inquiries

Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Responsibilities include:

Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department

Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records

Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.

Qualifications/Skills:

2 - 3 years in Accounting Payable role processing

Understanding of basic accounting principles

Ability to multi-task

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Knowledge of relevant Sage accounting software or willing to learn

Solid data entry skills

Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements

Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures

Competency in MS Office, and accounting software, data entry and word processing skills

Accuracy and attention to detail, able to perform filing and record keeping tasks

Well organized.
