Description We are on the search for an HR Administrator and Payroll Specialist to join our team in the service industry, located in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing vital support in the processing of payroll and the administration of human resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining records, resolving discrepancies, and handling a range of employee inquiries. If interested in this role, please call us at 808-531-8056. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements.Responsibilities: Manage and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner. Maintain meticulous payroll records to ensure accuracy. Responsible for the approval of timecards through the cloud-based time clock system. Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process of employees, ensuring a smooth transition. Maintain employee records in the HR Portal accurately and efficiently. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits. Assist with audits related to payroll and HR functions. Support department management in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures. Handle the administration of employee benefits including medical, vacation, and sick leave. Assist with processing TDI and workers comp claims.Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience as an HR Administrator, Payroll Specialist, or a similar role in the service industry. Proficient in the use of Accounting Software Systems. Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly desirable. Demonstrated skills in Auditing. Knowledge of Benefit Functions is a must. Experience with Bamboo HR software is an added advantage. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Demonstrated knowledge of HR laws and regulations. Experience in payroll processing and benefits administration is a must. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
