Dishwasher/Production Employee, Part-Time

Tropical Dreams Ice Cream is looking for a reliable, hard-working, professional individual to work as a dishwasher/production employee.

Job Summary:

Wash dishes, pots, plastic containers, kitchen utensils, and food processing equipment by hand.

Maintain production work areas, food storage areas, and equipment in clean and orderly condition.

Stock storefront freezers.

Take inventory of finished and unfinished goods.

Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.

Sweep, scrub, and mop floors.

Transfer supplies or food between storage and work areas.

Prepare ingredients for production (i.e. baking, chopping baked goods and produce, cooking).

Prepare labels and containers for use in production.

Package food for storage and delivery.

Receive and store supplies.

Load or unload trucks that pick up or deliver food or supplies.

Work inside and outside of walk-in freezers.

Stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weight up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Reach overhead and below the knees.

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Follow all company safety, sanitation, and hygiene policies and procedures.

Develop and maintain positive and professional working relationships with others.

Experience and skills needed:

Understands and executes basic hygiene, sanitation, and safety requirements in a professional kitchen

Able to multi-task and follow instructions

Able to pick up new tasks quickly and work with minimal supervision

Able to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment

Communication and teamwork skills

Professional, reliable, and hard-working

Flexible schedule is helpful

Sense of humor and an understanding that a work environment can be both professional and fun

Professional kitchen experience and/or food handler certificate helpful but not mandatory

Hours:

Part-time (24 hours/week) with the possibility of moving up to full-time.

General hours of operation are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (closed weekends).

Compensation and benefits:

$12.00 per hour starting pay. Increases thereafter based on skill-level progression.

Paid holidays after 90 days of employment.
