We are looking are looking for a positive, honest, and hard-working individual to join our team as a FULL-TIME Front Guest Service Agent at The ISO.

SUMMARY

Assure immediate and courteous attention to all hotel guests and incoming phone calls. Maintain a high level of accuracy regarding all information being recorded or flowing through the front desk. To serve as the “front line” personnel to the hotel guest in handling problems, complaints, informational needs and to show the hotel guest the degree of attention, professionalism and clean appearance they expect from a top-of-the-line hotel with a well-trained staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To report to work on time and in uniform, properly groomed with appropriate name tag.

2. Check in and out all guests as courteously and effectively as possible.

3. Post all charges correctly to guest accounts during shift.

4. Count bank at the beginning and end of the shift, balance all departments and make deposit with completed accuracy.

5. Take reservations for rooms as necessary.

6. Immediately answer all incoming calls.

7. Accurately and completely take and forward all messages.

8. Responsible for knowledge regarding groups, VIP’s, transients, special events.

9. Serve as an unending informational source for all hotel guests.

10. Show rooms and hotel facilities to guests and potential guests.

11. Monitor lobby for non-hotel guests and if they are non-hotel guests, politely ask for room keys from people in the lobby who are not supposed to be in the hotel.

12. Explain hotel facilities while showing people their rooms on the map.

13. Responsible for keeping necessary supplies on hand by informing the Front Office Manager/Supervisor of Front Desk needs.

14. Inform Front Office Manager/Supervisor of any room requiring attention from Housekeeping or Maintenance.

15. Encourage to visit local attractions, take tours and be familiar with hours of operations.

16. Call to arrange taxi services.

17. Attend necessary meetings

18. Resolve guest problems and complaints

19. Perform other related duties as requested by Management.

20. The agents are also responsible for setting up and replenishing the grab and go breakfast.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must demonstrate customer service skills.

Cash handling skills required.

Must be available to work on any day of the week and shift.

Must be able to complete work timely and accurately with attention to detail.

Must be a self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised and manage multiple priorities.

Perform job in a friendly, professional manner, and with the greatest amount of Aloha toward guests and fellow employees.

Able to lift/carry up to 15 pounds

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Any combination of formal education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties satisfactorily is acceptable. A high school diploma or the equivalent is preferred. On the job training is provided.

Pay Range: $22.00/hour - $23.00/hour, based on experience.
