Trim tree branches and prune trees
Test and maintain soil conditions
Apply specialized tree fertilizers

TREE CLIMBER:
ALOHA ARBOR CARE is looking for a Tree Groundmen to join our team. Tree Groundmen duties include reporting to the foreman, collecting and piling branches, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring hazard-free work areas. You must feel comfortable operating and maintaining power tools such as chainsaws and chippers. To be a successful Tree Groundmen you should be physically strong, willing to work during unfavorable conditions and have a positive attitude. Pay based on qualifications and job experience. All applicants must pass a background check and valid drivers license.
Climbers must be proficient in:
- Knots, ropes, proper cuts, tree felling
- Chainsaw operation and safety
- Rigging devices
- Climbing techniques
GROUNDMEN:
Groundmen must be proficient in (or willing to learn):
- Chainsaw operation and safety
- Ropes and lowering devices
- Driving truck and trailer
- Backing up trailer
-Assist Trimmers and Foreman when needed.
Control lowering ropes and supply tools for tree workers.
Control road and sidewalk traffic as needed, using warning devices.
Drive tree care equipment, spray truck and tow chipper.
Provide quality customer service and proper job site cleanup.
Maintain, prepare and use tools and equipment (hand tools, chainsaws and chippers).
Comprehend and apply the Employee Safety Requirements. Understand and perform first aid. Act responsibly in emergency situations.
Learn various aspects of tree care.
