HORSE RANCH MAINTENCE & CARETAKER
THIS IS A LIVE IN POSITION
We are looking for one person to live on our horse ranch to be responsible for all maintaince and care of the ranch. There is no handling or care of the horses. THIS IS A 7 DAYS A WEEK POSITION. You will be on call to respond to emergencies like broken water pipes and stall repairs. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairs to ranch equipment. (Gator, tractor, Bobcat, weedeaters, mowers etc.) You need to be able to communicate and be polite to people.
Compensation for the on call position is a (8’ x 20’) office container. The container has drywall, flooring, electric, windows and a AC, refrigerator, microwave, cable and internet. If you run the AC a lot you’ll be responsible for electric costs. $400 cash per week. Side jobs are often available.
Your other responsibilities, which are not negotiable, this is a all or nothing situation, are:
Maintaining 2 horse riding arenas 2x day
Dumping manure buckets every morning (20 gallon trash cans, into Gator with electric dump bed)
Hosing and pressure washing (3) horse wash racks (weekly)
Collecting and taking to the dump all rubbish (2x week)
Weed eating, mowing, tree trimming (15 hours per week)
Plumbing knowledge, mechanical knowledge, carpenter skill necessary. Experience (or desire, and ability to learn) driving tractor, bobcat and forklift. Valid driver’s license needed.
