Overview
As a Social Media Content Creator, you will work across three distinct brands under the umbrella of SpeediShuttle, a locally owned and operated family business in Hawaii since 1999. These brands include SpeediShuttle, our airport transportation service; IMI Tours, our tour division; and holoholo, our rideshare division. The Social Media Content Creator will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing strategies to engage both our driver and rider audiences. Your responsibilities will span across various channels, including social media, advertising, and event outreach. Success in this role requires creativity, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit to work closely with the marketing team and other departments to recruit and retain both drivers and riders to our platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop and create engaging and visually appealing content for various social media platforms
- Video/Reel Production: Work with content/production partners, influencer partners, and team members – including drivers and staff – to capture and produce engaging video content and reels that showcase the benefits of our rideshare service, highlight driver/rider experiences, and communicate promotional campaigns.
- Campaign Management: Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns to drive engagement, brand awareness, and traffic.
- Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions on social media channels in a timely and professional manner.
- Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and incorporate them into content strategy.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze and report on the performance of social media campaigns using analytics tools, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborations: Work closely with the marketing team, graphic designers, influencer partners, and other departments to ensure a cohesive brand message across all channels.
- Content Calendar: Create and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent posting across all social media platforms.
- Ground Promotions and Event Outreach: Plan and execute ground promotions and attend and participate in local events to engage with potential drivers and riders. Actively communicate the benefits of becoming a driver or trying our rideshare service, effectively converting leads into active users.
Utilize persuasive communication skills to convey the value proposition and address inquiries in a personable and informative manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (1-3 years) in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Experience in one or more of the following, including: content creation, event production, and/or social media management.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms
- Proficiency with photo/video editing software and applications.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design principles.
- Ability to create and edit photos and videos.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting tools.
- Reliable and clear communication; multi-lingual a plus
- Friendly, relatable interpersonal skills, with a knack for storytelling and persuasion.
- Ability to plan and prioritize projects with multiple stakeholders, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Passion for the gig economy/rideshare industry and a customer-centric mindset.
- Oahu-based. This is an in-person, Oahu-based role, with a flexible schedule. Remote applications will not be considered.
