Duties and Responsibilities
Working closely with the ReStore Manager, providing weekly and monthly sales reports and updates;
Instructing volunteer projects (individual and groups of various sizes)
Planning, organizing, and instructing ReStore workshops
Maintaining ReStore Craigslist and other Social Media outlets on a daily basis
Promoting Day to Day operations in the ReStore
Providing excellent customer service
Pricing products, staging inventory, and merchandizing donations
Discounting products accordingly merchandise/marketing plan
Drives sales and develops customer relationships
Identifying gaps/problems/concerns and bringing suggestions for correction directly to the attention of the ReStore Manager
Key Competencies
Commitment to the mission and ministry of Habitat for Humanity in providing decent, affordable housing to low-income families
Knowledge and experience in all phases of the development and operation of a retail store, with knowledge of construction building supplies and materials preferred
Knowledge and ability to develop and implement sound marketing and sales programs
Knowledge of MS Office, point-of-sale systems and retail software
Written and oral communication skills with individuals and groups as well as through electronic media
Experience mentoring, training, and providing leadership and direction to both paid and volunteer staff
Capable of managing multiple tasks and thriving in a deadline-driven environment with frequently changing priorities.
Requirements
Candidates must be a dependable, detail oriented individual
1-3 years retail experience.
Open availability for full time work hours
Have a passion for people and processes
Multi-tasking must be your strong suit
Social Media experience is a plus.
Physical Demands
Work is performed in variety of settings inc. warehouse and office;
Computers, monitors, standard office equipment, and motorized equipment used in the acquisition and movement of heavy materials will be used;
Work involves sitting, standing, walking, bending and reaching
Work requires lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 lbs.
