We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented technician who thrives in a self-managed position. You must have some experience working in an auto shop, be organized, friendly, and have a positive attitude.
This is a unique opportunity for the right individual. Toolmaster Hawaii operates two hoists in Lihue. We specialize in fleet maintenance. We currently service county vehicles, local businesses, and a growing number of commercial accounts. The job requires you to work under the direction of the Head Tech and complete repairs professionally, ensuring timely, high-quality service for our clients.
We offer a full-service auto shop with state-of-the-art equipment, including an alignment rack.
We offer Thule, Yakima and other vehicle upfit installations
We do not do body work.
The job pays a flat rate - we schedule repairs based on your work ability and availability.
Schedule is Monday - Friday with Holidays off
The employment is W-9. This is an excellent position for an aspiring business owner who needs more experience or a mobile technician who would like to gain experience in a full-service shop.
Responsibilities:
Basic Automotive services including oil changes, tire rotations, tire repair &brake jobs.
Perform maintenance and safety checks (not certified for safety checks? We can get you there)
Communicate clearly with customers and service advisors
Maintain clean, safe work standards
Preferred Requirements:
Your own tools
We are looking for diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with at least 1 year of experience in a licensed shop.
Commitment to quality workmanship
