We are a local, family-owned business with over 50 years of experience in Hawaii, and we are looking for someone who can join a team or work alone on all aspects of carpentry including finish carpentry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Possess a well-rounded understanding of residential/commercial construction including but not limited to; demo, framing, siding, drywall/taping, cabinetry, window and door installation, and finish work.
-Work as a team member, or independently if needed, and have the ability to identify tasks to be completed and take initiative to ensure completion.
-Must be able to read blueprints and understand job specifications.
-Ability to communicate well with clients and work in client-occupied homes.
-Complete work in a timely manner and within budget.
-Ensure jobsite safety and protection and enforce all jobsite rules.
-Learn new skills and improve existing skills.
Qualifications
Three (3) to four (4) years carpentry experience, preferably on custom homes and remodels.
Daily access to email and cloud-based project management software required.
Able to communicate concepts, concerns, thoughts, and ideas both written and orally to others including supervisors, team members, and clients.
Display self-motivation and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, peers, clients, and other employees.
Provide and use standard carpentry hand and power tools and personal protection equipment.
Valid Hawaii state driver’s license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record.
