HNU Energy is seeking a well-organized and highly productive Electrical Journeyman (EJ) licensed in the State of Hawaii to support a commercial solar and general electrical contracting services company on Maui.
To be successful as a Journeyman Electrician, you should have experience in all facets of electrical work. A remarkable Journeyman Electrician will demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and the capacity to mentor Apprentices on the team.
Required Education and Skill Set:
H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of relevant apprenticeship.
A valid State of Hawaii license that permits you to practice as a journeyman electrician.
Valid State of Hawaii Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Good math skills
Excellent critical thinking skills.
Self-motivated work style.
Observant and thorough.
Active listener with excellent communication and customer service skills.
High degree of professionalism; positive attitude, and team player.
Proficient is the use of MS Office applications such as, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with all types of hand-held and power tools, as well as small machinery.
Knowledge of electrical wiring in commercial applications.
Experience in mechanical installation, general construction, and ladder work.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in the sun for 8-9 hours per day.
Must be able to work at heights.
Ability to work in constricted areas.
Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders.
Must be able to lift 50lbs at a time.
