Apply Now

A locally owned restoration start-up on Oahu is seeking a skilled, self-driven professional to run mitigation operations from the ground up. This is a single-operator role: you will handle inspections, mitigation work, client communication, and local outreach while helping establish a strong presence on the island.

This position is ideal for someone who is confident working independently, experienced in water mitigation and mold-related work, and comfortable managing both field labor and customer-facing responsibilities.

You will be the primary mitigation technician and the main point of contact for clients. You’ll perform all mitigation work, coordinate subcontractors when needed, conduct inspections, manage equipment, and support basic sales and marketing to help grow the operation.

Primary responsibilities focus on reconstruction—drywall, finishing, painting, light carpentry, and general repairs. The role also includes supporting mitigation tasks such as demolition, debris removal, equipment setup, and jobsite prep.

Responsibilities:

Perform all mitigation services: demo, cleanup, drying equipment setup, moisture readings, and documentation

Conduct on-site inspections and initial assessments

Communicate directly with clients, adjusters, and property managers

Prepare job notes, readings, and follow-up documentation

Manage equipment, materials, and jobsite logistics

Build and maintain relationships for sales and marketing (PMs, realtors, HOAs, contractors)

Oversee job scheduling and ensure timely service

Represent the company professionally as the lead operator for Oahu

Qualifications:

Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or restoration preferred

Familiar with hand tools, power tools, and jobsite safety

Strong mitigation experience required (water loss, demo, drying, mold-related work)

Ability to work independently and manage all aspects of a job

Comfortable using moisture meters, documentation tools, and standard field equipment

Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in attics/crawl spaces

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Any IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT), OSHA training, or prior lead technician experience is a plus

Strong communication and customer service skills
